I find inspiration by talking with others I want to be more like.

While I find a lot of inspiration in viewing marketing trends and what others are doing in digital marketing, my personal #1 way to find inspiration is through nature. Disconnecting from the internet and social media and spending time outdoors is a great way to decompress, clear your thoughts and come back to your desk with a fresh perspective.
I find inspiration everywhere: artwork on the street, interesting typography on signs or posters, or even the clothes that people wear. I take pictures of things that I find interesting and inspiring to refer back to when I work. Movie theme songs. When I need to get “in the zone” and really focus on something, I head over to Google Play, throw on the headphones and crank out some action movie theme songs (Epic Film Scores is a great Google Play radio station). Favorites include Last of the Mohicans, Jurassic Park, Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter, The Dark Knight…basically anything Hans Zimmer or John Williams-type music. No words allowed!
Working in Human Resources, I find inspiration in people. Sometimes it’s seeing what others have accomplished or how hard someone has had to work for something. It can be seeing someone in need and finding a way to help them, many times just by being a listening ear. People are amazing! We’re all different and yet inherently the same.
