“No one is useless in this world who lightens the burden of it to anyone else,” (Charles Dickens). This quote could be said to reflect the spirit and mission of Mary’s Center. A community health center operating in the DC Metro region, it serves those who have limited resources and lack support from other private and public systems. Beyond health care, Mary’s Center strives to enable the well-being of the whole individual, encouraging education and economic independence. They’ve found that poor health is a causal factor in limited education and job opportunities, so working with community partners, they endeavor to address all related needs in order to pave the way for immediate and long-term success.
As a non-profit organization, Mary’s Center publishes annual reports that detail services provided, funding sources, and more. Wanting to make these more engaging and user-friendly, Mary’s Center asked Ironistic to build a custom report within their current Drupal website. Ironistic first developed the 2016 Annual Report landing and interior pages, bringing a more modern look and layout that still maintains Marys Center’s site and brand integrity throughout. Rather than publishing old-style PDF versions, this platform features a more appealing design with interactive infographics for key data, highlights, and other content.
This was such a great partnership, so we were honored to work again with Mary’s Center for their 2017 Report, which saw them recognized as a Top-Rated NonProfit by Great Nonprofits, heralding what we’re sure will be another banner year as they celebrate their 30th anniversary in 2018. This year’s report focuses on the impact Mary’s Center has made on more than 41,000 individuals from 100+ countries, as well as highlights some generous benefactors that made Mary’s Center’s mission possible. With millions of dollars in free health care already provided to thousands of individuals, we wish Mary’s Center all the best as they continue to serve the underprivileged in our community.
