The Washington Football Team recently selected Ironistic to create a website to serve as the central hub for finding local Washington NFL bars around the country. Simply head over to WashingtonRally.com and you can find all of your favorite local Washington NFL hangouts on game day.
Their Objectives
In addition to an interactive map where visitors can search and find their local Washington Football Team fan sites, bar and restaurant owners can also submit updates to their own listings, submit photos from rally events, and share social media engagements. Fans and bar owners are encouraged to submit their favorite bars to the Washington Rally website to be included in the official list.
Ironistic's Solution
As we built out the website, we certainly wanted to keep the mobile audience in mind, so we developed the site in a responsive layout that automatically adjusts to optimally appear on desktops, tablets, and mobile devices. Another important aspect of the new website is the Google Maps integration. Building on the project that we completed for Washington Football Draft Day, we developed the Washington Rally website with the Google Maps API on a WordPress platform. This not only allows for a popular and seamless map experience, but it also enables Washington Football Team website administrators to easily add, edit and delete bar locations from the system easily. The website features a dynamic event calendar for Rally Parties and events as well as ad network integration throughout.
Another key element of the new website is the integration with the Washington Football Team advertising and tracking systems (Omniture) that carries across all online properties. Of course, security and reliability for a site like this is also paramount! No, we’re not talking about foreign hackers. It’s those Cowboy fans out there that will undoubtedly try to bring down the site, so we also host the website in our secure data center.
