SCAN (Stop Child Abuse Now) of Northern Virginia is a nonprofit organization founded in 1988. SCAN is the only region-wide organization focused on preventing child abuse and neglect across Northern Virginia. They believe every child deserves a safe, stable, nurturing home. Keeping children safe and helping them thrive require a continuum of prevention programs that engage families, professionals, and community members. With a core focus on the wellbeing of every child — and a deep understanding of the complexity of child development, abuse, and trauma.

Ironistic partnered with SCAN VA to position this organization as the regional expert for the prevention of child abuse and neglect. Additionally, the client wished to create niche sections for specific website audiences, including parents, CASA volunteers, and more.
Ironistic's Solution
Ironistic designed and built a custom website in an effort to inform users digitally and work to end child abuse in Northern Virginia. A custom resource specifically for parents contributed to our efforts to section off content based on the user’s needs, in addition to thoughtful calls-to-action that prompt visitors to volunteer or donate. Overall, SCAN VA’s website now reflects a new level of professionalism and structure and makes donors feel confident in their investments to such an important cause.
