Meet Our Client
We’ve been supporting Mountain Projects with website maintenance and hosting services for several of their sites. They are truly making an IMPACT on the lives of people within the region, providing important services that support the general public in western North Carolina, including the elderly and disadvantaged. Some of their services include in-home care, food and nutrition services, health insurance support, Head Start programs, and housing rehabilitation services.
Haywood Public Transit is one of their programs. It’s been in operation since 1990, providing on-demand transportation services – until recently, when it started offering regular, daily bus routes for residents. In addition, they often step up to the plate during area emergencies, such as floods, providing poor-weather pickups and emergency food deliveries.
Their Objectives
For the Haywood Public Transit site, our client needed to redesign their old site and migrate it to a user-friendly WordPress CMS platform. They needed a better functioning site to better serve the needs of their community and empower internal operations.

Migrating to a WordPress CMS platform takes some careful diligence and developer expertise, but the result is a robust platform that allows administrators to easily add, edit, and update content throughout the entire site.
We implemented designs from the client into a modern, user-friendly format with straightforward navigation and clear call-to-actions. It provides clear daily route visuals and information and includes functionality for residents to schedule a pick-up.
