Meet Our Client
Since 1742 – 280 years – the Sheriff’s Office has served Fairfax County, Virginia. It is one of three agencies responsible for the public safety of county residents as well as those in the City of Fairfax, Herndon, and Vienna. Its primary mission is operating the Adult Detention Center, providing security for the Courthouse and courtrooms, executing civil law process, and engaging with the communities they serve.
They offer many career opportunities for both deputies and civilian positions with 15 specialized units available, such as the Sheriff’s Intelligence Unit, Honor Guard, Bike Team, Crisis Negotiations Team, and Motor Unit.
Their Objectives
While the overall objective was creating a better user experience to entice potential recruits, the main goals of this site were highlighting FCSO careers and showcasing the FCSO as a diverse organization committed to community service. They wanted to modernize their image and have an easily-accessible platform for people to gain information about job opportunities, benefits, leadership, and the FCSO culture. They also wanted a site that would be easy and convenient for them to manage and update when needed.
Ironistic's Solution
We began by building a clear and concise structure for the site’s navigation. Career paths and opportunities are clearly defined and accessible in the menus and on dedicated pages, and we ensured FCSO’s culture, mission, and benefits were promoted as well as clear-cut options for applying.
We incorporated their shield colors throughout the design with videos, photos, and content styling coordinated and on-brand. In addition, we included employee testimonials that enhance FCSO’s story and image.
The WordPress CMS allows FCSO staff to easily manage, update, and edit content on their site, and we are always on hand to provide website maintenance as needed. We also host their site on Ironistic’s secure servers.
