Ironistic is seeking a social media specialist that can lead the strategic direction and execution of social media efforts that align with our client’s overarching digital marketing strategies. The social media specialist will work closely with the account services team to develop social media strategies and manage our client’s day-to-day social media content and engagement initiatives. You will work with our creative team to visually enhance our client’s brand and online presence across social platforms and collaborate with SEO and content specialists to help bring our digital strategies to life.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years of work experience as a social media specialist or similar position
- Excellent critical thinking, interpersonal, communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent knowledge of social media platforms including GMB, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook
- Ability to use social media management tools for scheduling, monitoring, and measuring performance
- Ability to adhere to brand guidelines when developing social media content, graphics, and video content
- Understanding of social media KPIs, web traffic metrics, and SEO
- Experience with social advertising management, optimization, and reporting
- An understanding of grammar rules and how to construct clear sentences and write compelling and engaging content specific to each social media platform
- An understanding of how to best market to a variety of different audiences within B2B, B2C, and B2G industries
- Computer literacy
- Proven ability in handling concurrent projects with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills
- BS/BA degree preferred
- Agency experience is a plus!
Responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate with the Digital Strategist/Project Manager to build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification
- Collaborate with Digital Strategist/Project Manager to assist with filling in details on the marketing calendars
- Generate, edit, publish and share regularly scheduled content (original text, images, video, or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
- Create branded graphics and videos for social media platforms in programs such as Canva, Biteable, etc.
- Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
- Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
- Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules, leveraging Agorapulse and providing client training on the platform
- Analyze the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then act on the information to enhance performance
- Contribute to quarterly reporting presentations that are overseen by the Digital Strategist/Project Manager
- Stay abreast of social media trends and best practices
- Take ownership to develop and adhere to standard operating procedures
