Mike “The Gun Slinger” Skinner has been a driving force in the NASCAR world for the past 40 years. In addition to his racing career, he hosts a Sirius XM radio show with his wife, Angie, and mentors up-and-coming racers and racing fans through his venture, Racecar Solutions. In addition, he throws his support behind America’s troops with his annual Skinner Round-Up charity event. This is an annual two-day happening that benefits Hope for Warriors, which serves post 9/11 military members, veterans, and their families. In 2013, Mike Skinner was inducted into the West Coast Stock Car Hall of Fame and continues to be a positive influence on the sport today.
When Mike Skinner Enterprises came to Ironistic, their website was outdated and needed to better illustrate and promote all of the different activities and events that Mike Skinner was involved in. It also needed to increase user engagement, create interest and value for sponsors, and grow involvement in the annual Skinner Round-Up, while also providing a way for staff to easily update content.
Ironistic gave Mike Skinner Enterprises a fresh look with a clean layout and design that complimented and promoted their new logo, color palette, and overall brand. The long scroll approach on the homepage highlights all of the great things that Mike and Angie Skinner do and who they are. The website also features a custom social media feed from Juicer, which pulls various relevant content from multiple social media channels. The design incorporates various calls-to-action to promote the sponsors and important events like the Skinner Round-Up and Goodwood Festival of Speed. Plus, since the site uses a Wordpress template, it is easily managed from the backend, so the information available to the public is always current and up-to-date.
