Classical Movements is a premier touring company for the best orchestras and choral groups in the U.S. and around the world. Since 1992, they have arranged itineraries that have taken symphonies and choruses from noted musical cities such as Boston, Philadelphia, New York, and London to over 145 countries across six continents. Beyond arranging tours of a lifetime and creating unforgettable musical experiences, Classical Movements hosts annual festivals in places such as Washington D.C. and Prague, implements international educational programs such as the India Chorale Fellowship, and supports communities through charitable outreach coordinated with organizations like Habitat for Humanity and The Salvation Army. Classical Movements has brought the gift of music, at crucial historical moments, to countries like China, Russia, and South Africa, broadening borders and strengthening cultural diplomacy and awareness.
Despite their elite history, Classical Movements unfortunately had a historic website. Old, outdated, and inefficient, they approached Ironistic for a major update in both design and development. Their hope was to raise brand awareness, increase their site visitors, target clientele and social media presence, and institute a content management system that was much more dynamic and manageable.
Ironistic got right to work implementing a custom design that was more attractive, professional, and intuitive than its predecessor. Visitors are immediately introduced to the unique work and experiences that Classical Movements offers and guided to other highlights like their educational outreach, cultural and community involvements, and Eric Daniel Helms New Music Program, which has commissioned over 50 works from award-winning composers. To help with brand awareness, Ironistic intertwined their unique logo and colors throughout the site. One unique, stand-out feature is Classical Movements’ collection of visited countries, places like Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Argentina, Vietnam, Egypt, Tanzania, and over 40 European destinations like Austria, Denmark, Spain, Norway, France, and the Vatican City. With individual itineraries and gorgeous photos of landscapes and cultural attractions, these pages truly show off Classical Movements’ perks. We also incorporated call-to-actions for recent news and potential clients, slideshow banners for reviews, and implemented a WordPress CMS that allows site administrators to easily add, edit and update all content, a true necessity for a site that is as prolific and evolving as Classical Movements.
Ironistic is proud that Classical Movements is based in Alexandria, Virginia—just like us! We invite you to check out their Serenade! Festival hosted right here in the D.C. area on June 25th through July 2nd of 2018. We hope to see you there!
